RSU 25 Food Service During School Closure
Regional School Unit 25 is pleased to announce we will be continuing our food service program for
school age children living in the towns of Bucksport, Orland, Prospect, and Verona Island while we are
experiencing the school closure. The program will provide a lunch and a breakfast for each school age
child, free of charge , for the duration of our school closure. This program is available to ALL school
age children (1-18) and not income dependent.

A typical lunch will consist of a sandwich, fruit, vegetable, and milk. The sandwiches will be ham and
cheese, turkey and cheese, or soy butter and jelly. All sandwiches will be prepared using whole grain
bread and will be served based on the published menu. The breakfast will consist of cold cereal, milk,
and a fruit or fruit juice.

The program will begin delivery of food on Thursday March 19th , with deliveries beginning at
approximately 10 am each day by an RSU 25 employee on a school bus or district van.

Parents who would like to participate should contact the RSU 25 Food Service by calling 207-307-8008
beginning Wednesday, March 18th between 9 am and 2 pm . Orders must be placed the day prior to
the delivery of food. When calling parents will be asked to provide:

● Number of children at the address
● Ages and names of the children
● Contact phone number

Parents are asked to call daily for delivery on the following day. The program will run Monday through
Friday for the duration of our school closure with the exception of any recognized holidays.
